Two Shapes are manufactured, plain or lipped outlets. Lipped outlets are easier and less time consuming to install than the plain outlet, mainly because it can be attached to the gutter by using pop-rivets instead of
soldering it onto the gutter.
The purpose of an outlet is to connect the drain part of the gutter to the offset which is connected to the downpipe.
A 3.2mm waterproof rivet should be used to attach the outlet to the gutter. An 8mm lip allows for a 3.5mm hole to be drilled into the lip and ensures a neat and durable finish that will last years.
Protective Coating after Installation
A good quality acrylic PVA paint should be used to paint the galvanised material which will ensure a durable stylish installation that will last many years
